Privacy Policy
How we handle the birth details, questions and other information you share when using AskGraha.
Effective date: 14 October 2026
AskGraha is operated by Patodia Infotech Private Limited (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information is collected through askgraha.in, why it is used, who may process it, and how you can contact us about it.
The bracketed fields below need the company’s verified contact, payment and retention details. Do not publish the page with placeholders.
Who we are
Patodia Infotech Private Limited (CIN: U52609KA2017PTC103319) provides AskGraha’s Vedic Astrology and related services. This policy covers the website, accounts, birth-chart calculations, questions, reports, downloads, daily predictions and support communications.
Information we collect
- Birth and profile details: name, gender, date and time of birth, birthplace and the chart factors calculated from these details. Match-making and family services may include details of another person that you provide.
- Your inputs: questions, follow-up answers, report year and focus, and optional work or study details or a dated event for a daily reading. A health concern or family matter may reveal sensitive personal circumstances, so share only what is needed.
- Account, contact and transaction details: information you provide when registering, contacting support or paying for a service, plus transaction references and payment status received from the payment provider.
- Technical details: visitor and session identifiers, language choice, approximate usage information, IP address, browser details and security or server logs generated while you use the website.
How we use information
We use birth details to calculate Vedic charts, planetary positions, Bhavas, Dashas and relevant timing; your question or chosen report focus directs the interpretation. We use the additional context you choose to provide to make a reading more relevant. We also use information to provide downloads, manage accounts and payments, answer requests, prevent misuse, keep the service working and meet applicable legal obligations.
The question service may archive the submitted question and, when a visitor identifier is available, a birth profile in our database. Report answers may be held in a server session so that you can download them. Daily prediction reports are saved as private dated files to return the same reading quickly when the same inputs and day are requested again.
Astrology and AI processing
Our calculation engine prepares chart data. For services that generate a written interpretation, relevant chart results, your question, follow-up answers and optional circumstances may be sent to the OpenAI API to produce the text. The amount and type of information sent depend on the service. Please do not include passwords, card numbers or unrelated confidential records in an astrology question.
Where configured, our API requests ask the provider not to create a stored response. The provider still processes the request under its applicable terms and data-handling arrangements. An astrology interpretation is generated text and may contain mistakes; it should not be treated as a certain outcome or a medical, legal or financial decision on its own.
Sharing and international processing
We share information only as needed with service providers that help operate the site, including hosting, the OpenAI API and a payment provider when a payment is made. They receive information relevant to their role. We may disclose information where required by law, to respond to a lawful request, or to protect the service and its users.
- Payment gateway: RazorPay
- Hosting location/provider: HostingRaja.in
- Other analytics or communication providers, if any: None
Cookies and technical data
The site uses a PHP session to support features such as language preference and report downloads. The landing page may set a visitor identifier cookie (“ucode”) for up to one year to recognise a returning visitor and connect saved details where that functionality applies. External assets loaded by the website may result in requests to their providers. Browser settings can block or remove cookies, though some features may then stop working.
See our separate Cookies Policy for more information.
How long we keep information
Generated reports held for download in a PHP session remain available until that session expires. The current code does not impose a fixed expiry on every stored record. You may contact us to request deletion; we will review the request, verify identity where appropriate, and retain records where required by applicable law.
- Saved birth profiles and archived questions: No automatic expiry or scheduled database purge is implemented. Profiles and question text remain in the database unless removed through a verified request or an administrative cleanup. The question archive stores a hash and the question text without a direct account link, so include the original question when requesting its removal.
- Account and support records: The application code reviewed does not set a fixed deletion period. Transaction records are kept for the periods applicable to the underlying accounting and tax obligations. Server log retention depends on the hosting server configuration, which is not controlled by these report scripts.
- Daily cached files: Predictions for Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow are stored in private date-based folders. On approximately 1% of eligible daily-prediction requests, the code attempts to remove folders older than Yesterday, deleting up to 200 files from each old folder per pass. Cleanup depends on subsequent requests and successful file deletion, so a maximum retention period is not currently guaranteed.
Security
We use access controls and reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. Daily report files are designed to be stored outside the public website directory with restricted file permissions. No internet service can promise absolute security; please contact us if you believe your information has been exposed or misused.
Your choices and requests
You can leave optional context fields blank, avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive details, and manage cookies through your browser. To ask about the personal information we hold, request a correction or deletion, withdraw a relevant permission, or raise a privacy concern, contact the officer below. We may need to verify your identity or your authority to act for another person. We will handle requests under applicable law, including any retention obligations and the provisions in force at the time.
Children and other people’s details
Some readings may be requested for a child or may involve another person. Please provide another person’s birth details or private circumstances only when you are authorised to do so. For a child, a parent or lawful guardian should submit and manage the request. Do not enter a child’s details without appropriate permission.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when services, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top will show when the current version applies. Where appropriate, we will give a more prominent notice of material changes.
